Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies

The Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies is benchmarked to the upper range of the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) Level 3 and is designed to prepare students for progression to Diploma and Advanced Diploma programmes benchmarked to RQF Levels 4 and 5.

This qualification is designed to prepare learners for progression into diploma-level higher learning programmes in applied disciplines. The programme specifically addresses the academic, linguistic, and cognitive transition challenges faced by students entering from secondary or technical education backgrounds, including Singapore NITEC or equivalent international upper-secondary or vocational qualifications.

This programme is intentionally positioned as a Level 3 diploma-standard qualification that bridges learners into discipline-specific Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas benchmarked to UK RQF Levels 4 and 5. The programme does not function as a terminal award; rather, it provides structured preparation for higher education through the development of academic English proficiency, applied study and research skills, quantitative reasoning for data interpretation, and introductory exposure to selected disciplinary areas including tourism and hospitality, logistics and supply chain management, business, and information technology.

Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to:
