PROGRAMME SPECIFICATION FOUNDATION ENGLISH FOR SECONDARY 3

This course is a full-time, six-month English Language examination preparation programme designed to prepare international students for the Admission Exercise for International Students (AEIS) English Language examination for placement into Secondary 3 in Singapore government schools.

The course is benchmarked against the English Language competencies expected at Singapore Secondary 2 level, with focused emphasis on the knowledge, skills, and examination techniques required for the AEIS English Language examination. Instruction is delivered through an integrated English Language subject covering Grammar and Language Use, Vocabulary Development, Reading Comprehension, Comprehension Cloze, and Writing (Situational and Continuous Writing).

The programme adopts an intensive, exam-oriented approach while ensuring systematic reinforcement of foundational language skills, enabling students to demonstrate readiness for Secondary 3 English Language demands upon course completion.
